survivor was great... as usual... as long as it ain't my sandra or christa. jon's a f*Cker but we know it's a game. oh well, darrah won immunity, which is something that none of the other non-outcasts can lay claim to. i guess she's worthy of winning too. all of them are worthy of winning. burton too..... cos of his strength? anyone except sour-faced pussy lil! i was channel surfing after survivor and i came across disney channel (yeah i have a younger brother) and MULAN was playing... i think i watched that show like more than 3 times liao.. it's damn nice! good visuals, funny antics, good storyline (although a bit funky with the history sometimes), good music, moving and uplifting score. it's good!

mulan is also probably one of disney's boldest moves ever, firstly for attempting to mess with history and create a motion picture. it's probably one of the most risque movies, by broaching cross-dressing for kid's eyes. now we all know once was necessary for the girl. but the guys? now that was just sick! but the rewards were good as it was quite a successful movie. of course, we'll always remember that as the movie where chri.stina's "reflections" came from. well it isn't exactly hers, leasalonga sang it first.

the above is the song frm the training scene.. it's so deliciously ironic when he sings about "sending daughters instead of sons" cos there's a real girl there. somehow i really like the "hope he doesn't see right through me line" it's very clear and sweet and beautiful. then again maybe cos it's the only oestrogen (efoo way of pronouncing yEAst!trogen) laden voice in a song that's testosterone loaded. and it's so funny about the making a man out of you. somehow it sounds gay. oh well. hahaha i can imagine if mulan told him, "i got a crush on you" he'd freak out before he knew her real identity.

i've always admired mulan, (the historical figure as well as the cartoon character) quite gutsy and brave as well as in rather good shape to actually be able to rise in the ranks. smart and ingenious as well. it doesn't hurt that she looks good. i guess she must have had small boobs though to not have any of the other soldiers notice.

i'm not very sure whether she actually courted one of her generals or ruined a matchmaker's tea party in real life, but quite funny to see in the show how she began to form a crush on him and everything. after returning home, she morphed back from a ferocious mad soldier into a demure girl again.

blah. shit i think it's disgusting to have a crush on a cartoon character. i'm damn sad. ah well. gonna make tomorrow's cd now. till then, later.
