before i start, i'm going to reiterate what i had on the previous template. i've been supporting sandra since the merge, or possibly even earlier, who knows? all i know is that i think she's gonna win. SANDRA DIAZ TWINE will win survivor pearl islands. this is my prediction. and i just know it.

---

ok anyway. i'm back from that stupid place malaysia, and if it's truly asia, we sure as hell have to do something about our pathetic little asian selfs.

the monorail was painfully inefficient, and they have commercial SPONSORS. the train driver will announce to you the name of the station, followed by the sponsor. so he goes "station hang tuah, prudential" which is very very funny. and the price is damn damn expensive, around the same rates in between stations as singapore after conversion, but the problem is that the stations here are as close to each other as the ones in the LRT circles we have. bad, bad. and the place where i was staying, the nearest station didn't have a sponsor at all. sucky crap. maharajalela. what a name, what a name. what a mouthful too for a tongue twister. not even "bukit gombak"or "marina bay terminal station" is as bad as that.. that. 6 syllable-d monstrosity. try repeating it quickly 20 times.

u wonder why that station didn't have a sponsor? our supposed 4-star hotel was shit as well. it was hidden in a covoluted twist of turns, around 7 from the main highway, that we actually had to get a cab to bring us there, by being our lead to follow, when it was only less than a km away. stupid place with stupid no signs.

i'm sorry that the hotel was bad. well i guess we couldn't blame them for having only nasi lemak, bread and cereal for their daily morning "buffet", neither can we blame them for "the rainy weather" which made that infernal ntv7 channel so fuzzy, neither can we blame them for not clearing out the mess in the rooms while we were gone. it's sad really. my brother ordered a "club sandwich" and they brought "fried rice". and the guy had actually written neatly on his notepad, "club sandwich". it just shows how lousy their english is. (and to that stranger who came to the board, i'm trying my best not to express disdain for the waiter)

don't go to BerjayaTimesSquare if any of you guys want to go there. only go there if you want to go to the theme park with the indoors roller coaster with lots of turns. but otherwise, keep out. that place is a women's haven of boutique, boutique, saloon, shoes, shoes, clothes, shoes, clothes, boutique in that order, with the token pirated cd shop. i was bored out of my wits there cos i didn't want to go on the theme park. my mother of course, had a fine time there.

although it looks like taka from outside, inside it's really parkway meets fareast. and there's a JLO shop too! complete with JLO posters as well as JLO tvs showing JLO mtvs. probably sells JLO clothes and JLO glo or still perfume too. and at some other shopping centre, someone stole the colonel's specs from the KFC old man! the desperatism is appaling, as is the way this video shop was openly playing RA killbill on their tv screens. then again, half the BTS was empty cos they had no tenants, and the place is so lawless. even if i was below 21 (which i was), no one would have cared. talking about lawlessness and corruption, the taxi drivers there are corrupt too. there's no meter in the cars, so you haggle for a price before you jump into the car. also, there are no taxis at the taxi stand. but look slightly further up the road, and what do you see? a long stretch of taxis waiting. go up there, and they charge you more by saying "look tehre's no taxi at the taxi stands so you must be grateful" or "it's drizzling now lerh" which are really ridiculous. there was also this taxi driver who immediately talked about sars the moment we said we were from singapore. that is such OLD news. heh. what an oxymoron. and a moron. he was also trying to fish info out from my dad like, oh where are we staying, when we leaving, yada yada... and the crunch question was, how did we come there. when he found out we drove up, he stopped asking. sheesh, the shamelessness.

KLCC was better, which looks like suntec from outside, and is atually like raffles city meets taka inside. the stuff there was much more accesible than that dastardly BTS crap. and they had a kino too! i bought "5 people you meet in heaven" there, which is kinda weird, not buying it from singapore instead. oh well. decided not to buy "tuesdays" cos it's an old book already and i'm gradually moving away from non-fiction. hmm.

oh, and i saw something that'll put all singaporeean christian youth organisations to shame in KL, but.. shan't say it. somethign i found interesting was that the hotel we were in was playing christmas hymns like hark, the herald angels sing. isn't malaysia a predominantly muslim state?

anyway. the biggest gripe i have with that place is that nasty ntv7. survivor on friday night was touted to be at 11.10pm. ok. i was fine with the 1hr10min delay. but then due to their awful scheduling, it actually started at 11.40. then there was loads of commercials, and that rachel stevens-like ntv7 woman telling us about the contest of "reality, or fantasy?" with a cute lil' cock of her head. then after the opening credits, the same old routine happened. of reality and fantasy, and stupid commercials. that was still alright. what really pissed me off was halfway during the show it stopped and the NEWS came on. after half an hr of news the newscaster said something like "now, back to survivor". how stupid is that? so survivor became 2 hrs long, instead of one. ntv7 is definitely -not- you "Feel good channel".

oh well. malaysia still sucks, no matter what al.bar said. and singapore is still ahead. for now. KL is kinda still shitty. it'll take time, but for the time being, we're ahead of them.

as for now, i can't wait to watch the finale tomorrow where sandra wins. (i just know it!)
