today, woke up early early.

went to fura.ma for dimsum with the family, then they went to do some travel stuff for hols, going to some...where.

k, then made my arduous way for three consecutive train changes from chin.atown to outramparkinterchange (cutename, oooh-tram), to tanahm.erah to expo. ten minutes after i pop into the bookfair, my mom calls me and says "hi we're pulling into the parking lot!!" met mel and then walked around. she left pretty soon. then hooked up with berns, and later beng and kenneth who'd jst came from squash. this time, they were alone, apparently everyone they invited apart from me who was having quality family time was busy sleeping in bed. hmm.. looks like my two-pronged (actually three) mission failed. too bad. oh yeah i saw derek and ye.eonn too. that place was really like congregation of ex-rikids.

i bought a few books from unfamous authors except frm mila.nkun(dadak)dera, and a nice babyblues 2004 calendar!! yay, it's a damn funny and cute cartoon. luckily i didn't buy the mado.nna biography, waste 5 bucks. that type of thing can find online.

the place is like damn funny lor! there was this funny stage at the side with this tacky magician guy doing dumb tricks with the not-too-enthusiastic children. and they were blasting stupid vengaboys too. they probably stole it from the trashbags of marr.iot last sunday nite. then there were people who lay out splayed on opened up cardboard boxes at the borders of the hall, which was quite funny to see really, like as though it was some bookworm day at the beach. there were like no stalls at all, and all the cartons were arranged in neat little long rows for everyone to stoop down and rummage thru for some good buys, lugging their huge boxes around stuffed with nickho.rnby and virgin.iawoolf literary gems, which are really really good. the things came in only 3 denominations, 5/8/20. VERYVERYGOOD. dunno whether it's closed already, but you should go check it out.

then again, the down side was that most of the books were repeated again and again and some quite in huge stock like mado.nna's biography, lol !!! and they're damn stupid to sell all the damn horoscope books that are for the year 2003. it's like DAMN DUMB. no wonder these guys work for penguin's 5/8/20 warehouse sale.

yah ok, and berns was going mad over these 2 eurasian twins. i can understand why, but well. read his blog to find out more. he's probably gonna talk abt it. k.

then we made our way to the johnlittle sale and berns bought his pillow for goodness knows what, not as if he doesn't have enough already. and we were all taking turns to hug it, cos it was soft and comfy haha, ending only at 6+.

i was totally against going to anywhere in expo to eat, so -someone- suggested going to changi airport, but we realised that there was absolutely nothing there to eat, unless you consider food from the fake kopitiam or 8.20 chicken rice from the verandah. the canteen for staff, as so kindly told to us by the staff at some DFS shop, closed quite early so we were left with really nothing. i wanted to watch planes at the viewing whatever!! but they didn't want to, so we made our way out of the place on bus36, to parkway. i was staring.. out into the distance. quite tired already. long day.

parkway was totally great, the foodcourt below. full of yummies, including the youtiao store. stupid blur woman at the drinks store was fingering my cup and can protectively when she made some stupid booboo and it was all damn dumb. in her little peanut brain trying to figure out her cockup for 2 whole freaking minutes. and many funny things happened during the dinner table which is just so scandalous. like uh, eggyolkless hardboiled eggs that resulted in mingling chopsticks? kwaychap for 2? bobochacha for 2, too? heh. gondor middle earth. HAHAHA.

oh well, all good times must come to an end, quite late already. went back with benjamin on the 15 and had a nice talk. i hope i'm not catching his sickness though. he looked quite ill. oh well, hope he gets well soon.

hmm. got quite alot to say actually, and i really think too much. but this place is DEFINITELY not safe for me to express myself without fear of backlash/whiplash/eyelash-batting-when-eye-rolls-too-much. so uh, let it go down in history, and be marred by memory. wonderful, sweet memory.

as for now, i shall indulge in my books as well as remember how warm i felt a few days ago after watching love actually. come to think of it, the ending scene reminded me of a jacko mtv somehow. yuck, that's worse than billn.ighy, naked romp behind his guitars on national airport tv.

---------

at night i pray that soon your face will fade away
i guess i need you baby

editted to add: i'm not elaborating further on whatever any of you whorish gossipmongers who redirected yourself from berns blog wanted to know about, just. let it go down in history, and be marred by memory. bitter, cold, memory.
