on a crappy streak lately. and it's all in time to herald in the break. well actually, i've started it already lar. cannot take it liao.

tuesday. funny giraffe-like econs woman doing her chikaboomboom chikaboom thang. jasminetan strutting her stuff as best as anyone can in a trashbag. icedtea spoof. kwok was taught by retrobabe!! whoa. really old, eh. testicular earrings. order of the day. but somehow, that little segment did nothing to augment my feelings.

and just a step into that rancid, air-conditioned, darkened, filled-to-the-brim hall did the trick.

i'm not crapping when i said the atmosphere was fantastic in the AHH. and the number one thing about atmosphere cultivation is PEOPLE. how do you even have a great concert when it's glaringly obvious that 1/4 of the school has ponned? i guess i would have too, if not for lynn and woochiao. but at ri, it was a different matter altogether.

i'm assuming it must be funny and cool, even though i only caught the last 5 minutes, when rosie and the pussycats made their encore back onto stage. c'mon, albar in a monstrously huge white wig, punk getup and shades sure beats some bio and lit newbies wearing the rj uniform.

but camp, is not the issue i am driving at. i don't know what i'm trying to get at, exactly. except maybe for the fact that something is inherently lacking in jc culture. rj cannot keep transplanting ri traditions or events into a new environment and wish for it to take off, because conditions are so different. prometheum day, for example. tsssh.

i think the openness and laissez-faire attitude adopted here is the key. but who am i to criticize, anyway.

albs was so funny! she was trying to escape by the back exit of AHH, and then joshua and i caught her red-handed and she was like "this is not me!! how did you recognise me". funkyy. and she's so infintely respected, it boggles. a crowd, a train, an entourage. whatever you call it. she was being traced and tracked down.

luckily we took a cab, if not we'd have missed alot. especially since there was no classparty this year.

i'm glad that i'm not the only one who wonders if moving is actually a good thing - the head councillor thinks so too! lol. and i think i've hit the nail on the head, finally. and it came from wc. who felt nothing in ri because he'd seen the teachers everyday already. or rather every other day. it was nothing special to him.

so which would you rather have? a magical experience once a year, whilst jostling with everyone else. or a daily happening that loses significance after awhile because its lost its charm by becoming a routine.

being so close just screws up everything. there should be some distance, to keep up that myth, that reverie, that shifty illusion that exists because it's been left behind in time and is something we can try to grasp back to everytime the going gets tough. but in front of our faces, it's impossible.

anyway. pastamania! and marche! yummy fooood. my dalliance with the 2 Es. -grin- and i knew i just had to go if even worm was going to make an appearance. harhar.

just had to say this : brandon and nicole on the amazing race are ridiculous. too bad it was a non-elimination leg... they so should have been evicted! vainpot shits.

the further you fall into the abyss, the harder it is to climb out. but then again, i rather fall in, in love. and die with a shattering passion. at least it'd be an exhilarating ride.
